There is nothing more beneficial for the heart than reading the Qur'aan
Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, says: "In short, there is nothing more beneficial for the heart than reading the Qur'aan with contemplation and reflection. The Qur'aan encompasses all the levels of the travelers, the conditions of the workers, and stations of those possessing knowledge. It is the Qur'aan that generates love, desire, fear, hope, repentance, reliance, pleasure, entrustment, gratitude, patience and the rest of the different states that are life to the heart and perfection of it. Likewise, it repels all the rebuked characteristics and actions that cause the corruption and ruin of the heart.
If people were to possess a realization of what recitation of the Qur'aan with contemplation contains, they would devote themselves to it at the expense of anything else. When the person reads it with reflection and he comes across an aayah that he is in need of, for the cure of his heart, he repeats it, even if he does so a hundred times or the whole night. Hence, to recite a single aayah of the Qur'aan with contemplation and reflection is better than reciting the Qur'aan to completion without any contemplation or reflection. It is also more beneficial for the heart and more conducive to attaining eemaan and tasting the sweetness of the Qur'aan ..." [Miftaah Daar as-Sa'aaadah, page 204]

Women Posting in Internet Discussions
[Q]: Some of the sisters write knowledge-based speech in some of the websites, and they refute some of the writers with regards to their statements. So what is you opinion concerning this?
[A]: I advise every Muslim woman, the Salafee women especially to not delve into this affair. Firstly: Due to what is in it from the wasting of time. Secondly: It exposes her to being the object of ridicule and amusement for the reckless ones and those with diseased hearts. And if she absolutely must do this, then she must suffice with listening to the knowledge-based lessons from those who are known for knowledge, practice of the Religion and excellence. Likewise, there is nothing to prevent her from spreading the statements and fataawaa of the noble Scholars so that her brothers and sisters may benefit from them.
[Q]: What are the general rules for sisters speaking with brothers, or vice-versa on the internet?
[A]: Where were you from our answer?! We advise with the abandonment of this affair! This affair of discussions, mutual exchanges, perceptions and sensations as I have mentioned previously. Secondly, and this is what I add as an answer to your question, I say that many of those who have diseased hearts enter into the programmes of women with the names of women: Umm so and so!! Umm so and so!! Indeed, he names himself with the name of a woman! And their intended purpose is to enjoyment through harming the Muslim women.

The Straight Path (Poem)
I give thanks to The Gracious for blessing me with the straight path.
When a society that accepts the marriage of one man to another rejects me, I grow more steadfast and my head only rises.
I give thanks to The All-Mighty for blessing me with the straight path.
When men who take wives that have shared themselves with dozens before them mock me, I am comforted by the purity of mine and my head only rises.
I give thanks to the All-Seeing for blessing me with the straight path.
When I'm asked if I'm with you or against you, my beard eloquently responds and my head only rises.
I give thanks to the All-Hearing for blessing me with the straight path.
When the world is flipped upside down and you consider me evil, I see you for what you are and my head only rises.
I give thanks to The Most-High for blessing me with the straight path.
When the angel of death eventually comes, there is no escape from what we've done.

The Most Sincere Way to Care for your Husband
Bismillah! As salaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Baraakatuh,
Is to prepare everything that needs preparation, such as providing food and drink for the guests and cleaning the bedroom and bathroom, making sure they smell pleasant. This type of house cleaning is not befitting for any intelligent woman to neglect. Oh sister, there should not be a day that goes by except that you make rounds around the home, cleaning, arranging, and returning the house back to its original appearance. For indeed, it is a disliked practice for a woman to neglect the things that she should in fact pay close attention to, especially while hosting guests.
As for guests, then they are like ambassadors, news carriers: so no intelligent woman would like for any news to be conveyed about her home except that which is best. If you receive word that visitors are coming to your home, arrange the men's quarters, cleaning all the nooks and crannies. Be keen on cleaning the areas that kids can tamper with and the eyes are shy to look at. Verily the intelligent person understands by simply pointing.
